|As of 14 February 2017, Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine has released an article titled “Casino – Its Narrow Door Has Opened“.|
In the article, Lawyer Nguyen Huu Phuoc – founding partner of Phuoc & Partners, has shared his view of the new legislation on casino operation.
In his opinion, the budget revenues for casino operations will include not only a corporate income tax of 20%, special sale tax of 35%, value added tax of 10% and proceeds from tickets paid by casino gamblers.
In addition, as explained by Lawyer Phuoc, if Vietnamese people are 21 years old or more, currently living alone and meeting some other conditions, they will be eligible to enter into the casinos without prior agreement from their relatives. This status should not be interpreted as the fact that a player must submit an application file for gambling at such casino.
