Our Part I of this Legal Newsletter introduces the legal article titled “How does the judgement against Uber by the European Court of Justice affect the Vietnamese taxi market?” written by our Partner Tran Thanh Tung and Paralegal Nguyen Thi Hang, posted on Asia Pacific – The Economic Times dated January 2018. With regard to the unending competition between tech-based taxis and conventional taxis, our authors refer to the legal opinions of both the Spanish Court and European Court of Justice (ECJ) as to whether there exist signs of illegal practice and unfair competition from rideshare companies such as Uber. Additionally, the legal article shares an objective view on how the judgement against Uber by the European Court of Justice affects the Vietnamese taxi market.
In Part II, we would like to provide you with some remarkable regulations as follows:
- Supplementing regulations on establishing commodity exchanges
- Expanding incentives for investment in agriculture and rural areas
- Circular on goods origin
Apart from the above, as usual, our Part III will provide you with a selected list of new regulations issued in April 2018 for your further reference.
We hope that this Newsletter is of use to you. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
