Our Part I of this Legal Newsletter introduces the legal article titled “Vietnamese expatriate artists performing in their homeland but are not fairly treated” written by Lawyer Le Quang Vy and Lawyer Le Trong Them. In this article, the authors discuss the reality of Vietnam’s licensing mechanism for overseas artists when performing arts in Vietnam today. Several irregularities current exist in Vietnamese law which makes it easier for overseas artists to conduct performances than for Vietnamese expatriate artists, particularly when they are still considered as Vietnamese citizens under the Law on Nationality.
In Part II, we would like to provide you with some remarkable regulations as follows:
- Amendments and supplements to some guidelines on the land law on land
- New decree guiding the law on accounting
- New decree on trading in duty-free goods
Apart from the above, as usual, our Part III will provide you with a selected list of new regulations issued in January 2017 for your further reference.
We hope that this Newsletter is of use to you. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
