Our Part I of this Legal Newsletter introduces a legal article titled “Inventions made by employees: Who Owns???” written by our lawyer Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuoc and Dr. Phan Ngoc Tam, issued in The Saigon Times on August 15th 2013. In this article, we analyze a number of issues related to the identification of intellectual rights for inventions made by the employee, due to the specific characteristics of the relationship between employee and employer. This legal issue has been being the interest of relevant entities not only in Vietnam but also in developed countries.
