Legal Update Newsletter April 2017

Our Part I of this Legal Newsletter introduces the legal article titled “Accounting services – from WTO commitments to domestic legislation?” written by Lawyer Pham Thi Hai Yen. In this article, the author analysed the incompatibility of Vietnamese law with WTO commitments in the accounting services industry. Basically, the major non-conformities create an investment barrier, affecting the belief of investors in investing in Vietnam. Vietnam's state agencies should consider these issues and set out to identify effective and appropriate solutions.

In Part II, we would like to provide you with some remarkable regulations as follows:

1.      A 50% reduction in the contribution rate to the labour accident and occupational disease insurance fund
2.      Fresh decree on goods labels
3.      Abolishing contract forms for real estate transaction

Apart from the above, as usual, our Part III will provide you with a selected list of new regulations issued in April 2017 for your further reference.
We hope that this Newsletter is of use to you. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
